What is the best case to buy for a 16 MacBook Pro?
The best 16 MacBook Pro case is the one that matches your individual needs as an Apple laptop user. To find the best MacBook Pro 16-inch case for you, consider how much protection you need, the overall design and style, functionality and quality of materials for any caae you may be interested in.
What is the best way to protect my 16 MacBook Pro?
The best way to protect your 16-inch MacBook Pro is to consider 3 things: 1. How much you will be traveling with it. 2. The type of environment you will be traveling though. 3. What type of environment you'll be working in most of the time. Choose your protection accordingly.
Are hard or hardshell cases bad for MacBooks Pro 16?
Hardshell clip-on cases inhibit cooling, and they don't protect against the shock from drops. Get a soft carry case or a laptop bag. Most damage occurs to laptops during transport, not during use. Most people are pretty mindful of what is going on around them when they are working on their MacBooks.
Here's a couple of more things to think about…. If you buy an Apple laptop you are paying a premium for all the design and engineering Apple put in to it to make it as thin and light as possible.
Doesn't slapping a clip on plastic shell over the whole exterior (making it heavier and thicker) negate all the work you just paid the premium for?
A case or other product designed to protect your Apple laptop should do just that, protect. Not trap dust, heat, grime, make it heavier, add bulk, raise core temperature and prematurely wear out the screen hinge. Yikes!
Does my 16-inch MacBook Pro need a carrying case?
Apple laptops are designed to be transported. If you plan on transporting your 16 Pro outside the safety of your home or office, a well designed, good quality carrying case is recommended. A quality carrying case is low cost insurance for your expensive Apple laptop.
MacBook Pro 16-inch Case - This is What Quality Looks Like
Recently, a long time customer placed an order for a new leather 16-inch MacBook Pro case, one of our classic Flight Jackets. The product was not in stock and we let the long time customer know.
"That's OK," he said. "I've waited 11 years. I can wait a few more days". I inquired as to what he meant and was told he was the proud owner of one of our original Flight Jacket models from 2008! The case was still being used daily. He sent us some photos. one of which is pictured above.
"Have you ever treated the leather, conditioned it or replaced the oil that evaporates out over time", I asked?
"Nope. Just used it and after 11 years thought maybe it was time for a new one. This is the best MacBook leather bag I have ever owned, period. It's an absolutely great value. There is nothing else like it out there. You guys should be very proud to be putting out cases that are of such high quality".
You can say it's silly for a company to be showing off a decade plus old bag when they are trying to sell you a brand new one. At MacCase, showing off our history, where we come from and what we've produced over the last 20 plus years is important. We hope it's important to you too.
If you purchase one, you're buying into that too. You're buying into our 20 plus years of design experience and our 20 plus years of producing the highest quality, Apple-specific cases, bags, sleeves and backpacks.
We know a bit about this because we created the market.
The world is drowning in poor quality products sold at a "so-called" discount. It's a scam. You know what's not a scam? A MacBook leather bag purchased for $170 11 years ago that is still going strong despite the fact that it's not received any maintenance in all that time. Try not taking care of your car for 11 years and see what happens.
This is what quality looks like. This is what durability looks like. This is what value looks like. This is what products produced by people who care look like. Is this what your last Apple laptop case looked like after 11 years of hard use?
The New 16-inch MacBook Pro Bag Rolls Out
Despite being one of the oldest Apple third party manufacturers, MacCase are not privy to any information about new models like Adobe might be. While this is understandable, it makes any product update or introduction very stressful for us. The introduction of the new 16-inch MacBook Pro laptops was such a time.
The newest Apple laptop model is larger overall than the model it replaces. Like with any new major Apple portable introduction, MacCase is there with the 16 inch MacBook Pro bags, cases and sleeves to protect your technology investment. What does the new larger laptop form factor mean to customers looking for dedicated 16" MacBook Pro bag, case, sleeve or backpacks? Let's take a look.
MacBook Pro 16 Cases
For a long time, we have been going back and forth between case designs that were too tight (hard to get the computer in and out but a secure fit) or too loose (easy to get the computer in and out but sometimes the fit is not to every customers liking).
For the most part, over these last 20 or so years, we've gotten it just right. Otherwise, I would not be here writing this! Our customers are too demanding. Though the newest Apple laptop form factor is slightly larger than the 15" model it replaces, it's only larger by a few millimeters. So anyone used to how our laptop cases and notebook bags fit on your body, we'll feel right at home wearing one of the new sixteen inch models.
The custom fit and excellent protection that MacCases has become world famous for are present in the 16-inch cases, bags, sleeves and backpacks. This, combined with our world class build quality and exemplary materials, make our cases for the 16 MacBook Pro some of the best available anywhere at any price.
The Future of the 16-inch MacBook Leather Bags
So now that we have the laptops of the future in the form of these new Apple portables with their sleek exteriors and their thin, elegant screens, what might the cases look like? MacCase is like any other product based business: The product line is always in flux.
Yes, we have some models that seems to have been around forever, like our Flight Jackets, but just under the surface things are shifting, changing and constantly being redesigned.
One of the great things about working at a company like MacCase is how passionate our customers are about our products. This passion takes many forms. One of which is the laundry list of suggestions customers send us to improve current models. These are reviewed quarterly.
Ideas are implemented if the idea enhances the functionality, durability, quality, customer experience and value. Many times the ideas will add additional cost to product, but we add them anyway without increasing the price.
We have collected a long list of improvement for our MacBook Pro 16 bag. The new Apple laptop model will allow us to add features while perfecting the fit for the Apple newest portable computers. If you have a suggestion to improve any of our current design, write or call and let us know.
