For many new Apple tablet users, (and some old ones too!), remembering what size iPad you have can be a daunting task. We know this because we sometimes talk to customers who are looking for a case and we ask them, "What size do you have?" Long pause. "I don't know", is often the reply.

What Size iPad Pro Case or Bag Do I Need?
So now that you know what size your Apple tablet is, you're probably wondering what size case you need to protect and transport it. Luckily, you've come to the right place. No one knows more about protecting Apple's tablets than MacCase.
Some of the iPad case sizes are marked in the product title. If you see that the product title doesn't include the case size, there is usually a pull-down menu option to choose the size on the product page. If there's not, that case is for the 12.9-inch.
But all the other Apple tablets are smaller, 11-inch, 10.9-inch, etc. So even though the case might have been originally designed for the 12.9-inch, the smaller-sized tablet will fit in those models.
But because we are MacCase, (and a bit obsessive) we make most of our models to custom fit your specific size. That's just how we roll.

What size is my iPad Pro?
iPad Pro size is found by measuring the screen diagonally. Unlike many previous Apple tablets, all Pro models are named by screen size. Measure the lit part of the screen (not the bezel) from the bottom right corner to the upper left corner. The length will be 9.7, 10.9, 11 or 12.9 inches.
How many versions of the iPad Pro 12.9 are there?
As of Oct, 2022 there are 6 versions of iPad Pro 12.9-inch that Apple has released. Differences between the 1st and 2nd generation are mostly internal. Extensive changes to the 3rd generation model were made including the removal of the home button and a near bezel-less screen.
How do I know which model is my iPad pro?
As of October 2022, there have been 6 generations of iPad Pro 12.9 and 4 generations of iPad Pro 11. The 1st generation of the 11 has a home button. The 2nd and 3rd do not. The 1st and 2nd generations of the 12.9 have a home button, the 3rd -6th do not. The 6th has the M2 chip.
