10.9" iPad Air vs. 10.2" iPad: Which Case Do You Need?
The 10.9-inch iPad Air and 10.2-inch iPad are close in size but not identical. A case designed specifically for the 10.9-inch Air will not fit the 10.2-inch iPad correctly and vice versa for form-fitting cases. For cross-body bags and messenger bags with padded compartments, both sizes fit comfortably. For folio cases and form-fitting sleeves, always check the product listing for your specific model before ordering.

Leather vs. Nylon: Choosing the Right Material
Full-Grain Leather
MacCase leather cases and sleeves are made from ethically sourced full-grain leather, the highest grade of leather available, retaining the natural grain of the hide. Full-grain leather is stronger and more durable than corrected or bonded leather alternatives. It develops a patina over time, becoming more characterful with use rather than wearing out. rPET Nylon
MacCase nylon bags are constructed from rPET, recycled polyethylene terephthalate made from post-consumer plastic bottles. rPET nylon is tough, lightweight, and weather-resistant. Is the MacCase iPad Backpack too large for a 10.9-inch iPad?
No, if you regularly carry other items with your 10.9 iPad. The MacCase iPad Backpack is sized for large-format iPad Pro and iPad Air models but works well for 10.9-inch and 10.2-inch iPads carried alongside accessories, a notebook, cables, and daily essentials. Your tablet can be stored horizontally (for a lower center of gravity) in the main built in sleeve or in the secondary iPad specific pocket. If you carry your 10.9-inch iPad alone with minimal accessories, the Premium Leather iPad Bag is the more proportionate choice. If you carry your iPad alongside a laptop, textbooks, or a full daily kit, the backpack's additional capacity is an advantage rather than excess.
