Every once in a while we'd get a phone call here at MacCase. A customer would say they were thinking of purchasing one of our Premium Leather Folios or already owned one and wanted to know if there was a place to store the AC power adapter and cable that came with their iPad.
We looked at adding a pocket of one kind or another to the case. The result was always the same: yes, it was functional, but no one would want to use it. It was an aesthetic disaster. Think of a clown nose on the Mona Lisa. But we never lost sight of the fact that customers wanted a place to store these small accessory items and carry them with their iPad Pro.

With the introduction of a new series of iPad Pro Folio designs, MacCase took the opportunity to re-invent on-case storage. The powerful magnets built into the new Folio front cover design were strong enough to hold a small pouch. This pouch could hold the AC adapter, cables, a screen cleaning cloth, and other small items.
The key to the whole design: if you wanted it, it was available. If you didn't want it, you didn't have to live with a pocket sewn to the front of your case. Storage for those who asked for it, without penalizing those who didn't. Solving difficult problems in a simple and elegant way is what MacCase design is all about.

What MacCase products does the Folio Cable Pouch work with?
The MacCase Folio Cable Pouch attaches to any MacCase Folio using the Magnetic Modular Accessory System (MAS). MAS-equipped Folios are identified by the circular exterior magnets set into the front panel. Compatible with 13-inch, 12.9-inch, 11-inch, and 10.9-inch MacCase Premium Leather Folios. It attaches via the MacCase Magnetic Modular Accessory System built into every MacCase MAS-equipped Folio.
What can I put in the Folio Cable Pouch?
The MacCase Folio Cable Pouch holds most smaller iPad Pro accessories: the AC power adapter and cable, a screen cleaning cloth, a point-of-sale attachment, camera connection cables, and similar small items. Dimensions: 7" x 3.25" x .75", 6 oz. Keep loads reasonable. The heavier the pouch, the greater the chance it will detach from the Folio.
Will the Folio Cable Pouch fall off my Folio?
The MacCase Folio Cable Pouch has been tested under extreme conditions including a shake test and a 100-meter dash test: a loaded Folio (12.9" iPad Pro, Pencil Case, Paper Holder with 6 sheets, Cable Pouch with AC charger and cable, Card Holder with 10 cards) carried under the arm by college-age runners. No accessories were lost. Common sense applies: don't overload the pouch. If in doubt, do a shake test before heading out.
Is the Folio Cable Pouch padded?
No, to keep bulk and mass to a minimum, the Cable Pouch is not padded like the standalone MacCase Premium Leather Accessory Pouches. It is fully lined in with our soft polyester fabric. Items stored inside are well protected from abrasion.
Will the Cable Pouch match my Folio leather?
Pebble black matches perfectly. Vintage brown may vary slightly due to natural dye lot variations. The vintage hide is raw and unfinished, and develops a unique patina over time. MacCase matches Folio and Pouch as closely as possible when purchased together. Purchasing the pouch separately after the Folio has developed a patina may result in a slight color variation.
