MacBook Pro 15-inch: Legacy Compatibility
Apple discontinued the 15-inch MacBook Pro in 2019, replacing it with the 16-inch MacBook Pro. The 15-inch MacBook Pro had a long production run, from 2006 through 2019, and remains one of the most widely used MacBook models in the world. MacCase has been making cases, bags, and sleeves for the 15-inch MacBook Pro since its introduction and continues to support it.
All MacCase sleeves, messenger bags, the backpack, and the briefcase backpack in this collection are compatible with legacy 15-inch MacBook Pro models. The Hybrid MacBook Case is precision-molded to current Air models and is not available for the legacy MacBook Pro.

Our current line of leather 15-inch MacBook Air bags continues to use our ethically sourced leather sourced from ex-Hindu dairy cows. Each case uses contrasting white stitching (like in luxury cars) to highlight the overall build quality. You cannot put a white stitch on black or brown leather unless every stitch is perfect.
Our rPET nylon is lighter, weather-resistant, and made from recycled post-consumer plastic bottles. Using waste plastic to make fabrics is a much more responsible and sustainable option than using it to expand landfills. "The 15-inch has always been the screen size for users who need more real estate without going to a desktop. We made cases for the 15-inch PowerBook, the 15-inch MacBook Pro through its entire run, and now the 15-inch MacBook Air. Designing laptop bags and cases for this long (since 1998), you really learn what works and what doesn't. For the thinner, more fragile Air, we updated our foams across the line, using a higher density to provide more impact protection. All the other design details that made MacCase 15-inch models so popular for three decades are still here: Bumper piping on our sleeves, structural panels where you need them, not where to don't to save weight, making sure the bags you wear are comfortable all day. I took the nylon backpack on an 8 hour hike in the high desert of eastern San Diego county. It performed flawlessly. Hard objects placed inside a sleeve pocket (AC adapters, cables, connectors) press directly against the laptop's aluminum exterior surface during transport and storage and cause the scratches and dents the sleeve is meant to prevent.
